Position Summary:

The QC Team Member will perform quality control tests under general supervision, following detailed sampling instructions to assess products at various stages of production. This role involves investigating and analyzing quality issues, assisting in implementing corrective actions, and minimizing production impacts. The QC Team Member will also be responsible for calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment, while upholding a safe and organized work environment in line with 5S principles.

About MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC.

MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe) is a tier 1 supplier of Battery System Assemblies (BSAs) and Electric Powertrain (PE) Systems, which are key parts to produce electric vehicles based on state-of-art manufacturing technology related to battery system assembly.

Essential Functions: To successfully fulfill this position, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additional duties may be assigned as needed:

  • Monitor, inspect, and report on the quality of products, repairs, workmanship, and the proper labeling, allocation, and staging of components received from suppliers and produced internally.
  • Conduct QC tests on products at various stages of completion and execute minor repairs according to established procedures.
  • Uphold quality processes and maintain 5S standards within the QC Department.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to review analysis reports and generate necessary documentation.
  • Input all data into the laboratory reporting system (QMS) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in required training and assist in training new QC personnel as requested.
  • Be prepared to work overtime beyond 40 hours per week as needed.
  • Rotate between different roles and shifts as required.
  • Monitor and maintain QC equipment and tools, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
  • Adhere to and promote company policies in safety, quality, cost management, and delivery targets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications: The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position:

Required Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or quality-related role.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn new skills and follow written procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize and multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Solid problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Ability to make informed decisions and take prompt action in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive approach to addressing issues, following up, and implementing solutions.
  • Positive and professional attitude with an optimistic outlook.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Associate degree in a technical field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Quality Control laboratory within a high-capacity manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with 8D, 5 Why, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
