Job Description:

We are seeking a Quality Control Specialist to become a part of our rapidly growing team and toensure our company remains compliant with industry regulations. You will report directly to the QAmanager and perform manual and automated tests on company products, calibrate test equipment,and ensure employees are following safety regulations.Job Duties:Being a food safety and quality champion assisting Operations in GMP and SOP compliance.Helping ensure compliance with product safety, consistency, and quality standards Evaluate and test raw ingredients and packaging upon receipt for quality to ensure nosub-standard raw materials are used in productionPerform standardized testing procedures to ensure quality and food safety attributes ofproducts meet regulatory and internal specifications to maintain the integrity ofthe brand.Perform standardized testing procedures to accurately measure and report qualitystandards of raw materials received at required frequencyInterpret results from laboratory and internal testing to ensure any issues are identified asquickly as possible and resolvedClean and sterilize raw material sampling area, equipment, and instruments regularly toavoid contamination of samplesConduct equipment swab tests to confirm cleanliness of equipment used in samplingConduct calibration of lab equipment at appropriate frequencyMaintain raw material sample reports based on laboratory analysisCoach production associates in assigned area on GMPs, Sanitation, and Quality checks toidentify risks factors that could lead to non-conforming productAudit batching, processing, and filler paperwork and escalate issues whennon-conformances are foundCoordinate communication between manufacturing, warehousing associates and QApersonnel for ingredient release.Inspection of incoming shipments from receiving..Maintain records of tests, audits, and other quality procedures to ensure the availability ofaccurate and thorough information.Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.Qualifications:Experience and desire to support a culture built on collaboration, sharing of ideas andcelebration of successes as well as drive for positive outcomes with cross-functional teams.Minimum HS Diploma - prefer some college in Chemistry or Microbiology1-5 years of experience in quality food manufacturing or equivalent relevant degree.Be conscientious and reliableExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMulti-tasking skillsTeam player and a self-starter able to work within a team and independently as neededMust be able to read and write EnglishComputer proficiency with MS OfficeRazor-sharp problem-solving skillsStrong organizational skill and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlinesProven aptitude to manage many competing projects and prioritiesAble to move fluidly between collaborative and independent work stylesAdept at making assessments quickly and identifying the best course of action1st shift opportunity.Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
