{Quality Control Specialist}JOB SUMMARY The Quality Control Specialist provides for the daily inspection and staging of all outbound materiel. Must provide feedback and continue to work towards maximum efficiency. The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for reporting pulling/loading/tagging inaccuracies. Must know all functions of the Loading Department including Inbound / Outbound. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Inspect trees/shrubs for Damage/Correct pulled. Communicate to the team.
Report Findings accordingly using share google sheets.
Quality Control incoming plant material ensuring we are receiving A grade materiel from our vendors.
Stage product for upcoming outbound deliveries.
Cross train in Outbound & QC processes for coverage events.
Operate earth moving equipment for loading and unloading of plant material.
Ensure all employees are wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Follow safety guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
One or more years of loading/receiving supervision experience, preferred in a tree or nursery setting.
Detail oriented, process minded.
Must be able to work effectively under time constraints and exercise good judgment under pressure.
Proactive, capable of multitasking and troubleshooting, finding innovative solutions.
Strong work ethics
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Flexible work schedule; comfortable working in a team/changing work environment.
Good logic and analytical skills.
Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of teams and customers.
Demonstrated proficiency using software applications. MS Windows preferred.
Ability to read, write and utilize facsimile and other office equipment.
Excellent computer skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENTPhysical Demands
Work can be repetitive and physically demanding, requiring frequent bending, lifting, sitting and walking.
Able to sit, stand, bend and walk for long periods of time.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Operation of heavy farm equipment machinery.
Job Site Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather (heat or cold), and moving mechanical equipment.
