Responsibilities include cost efficiency, continuous improvement on processes, service, and safety for an entire business unit on shift. This individual must set quality assurance standards and align the organization to achieve these standards.RESPONSABILITIESMonitors document control and employee/facility adherence to the SQF code as well as Liscio's policies and proceduresAsissts with managing team execution of key food safety pre-requisite programs such as: GMP compliance, sanitation, documentation and recordkeeping, regulatory audits, etc.Maintains up-to-date knowledge of process improvements and technical developmentsBuilds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for both management and front-line hourly personnelDevelops the team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goalsDelivers effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impactCommunicates and collaborate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issuesMotivates team members to achieve plan goalsEnsures compliance with all health & safety regulations including food safetyAssists with regulatory audits/inspections Administer policies and proceduresRegular and predictable attendance at the work siteThis role requires regular presence on the plant floorThis role requires lifting up to 40 lbs. occasionallyThis role requires occasional work in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.This role may operate manufacturing equipment occasionallyThis role may require off-shift and weekend workThis role may require some travel to our other locations (less than 5%)COMPETENTENCIES ThoroughnessTeamwork OrientationTime ManagementTechnical CapacityQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience preferredPrerequisites and certifications preferred: SQF practitioner, HACCP, PCQI, GMP, CFR and FSMA knowledgePrevious experience within the quality control department of a high-speed food manufacturing environment, preferably consumer packaged goods preferred.Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectivelyProficient in Microsoft Suite applicationsAbility to give and receive constructive feedbackAbility to lead a team-based approach to decision makingDemonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environmentStrong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring skillsEffective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills
