Quality Control SupervisorResponsibilities:Part of the leadership team with a focus on leading a team ofField Engineers/Specialists that focus on field servicesand qualitycontrol and assurance responsibilities for transmission and substationprojectsLead subcontractor management program - includingorientation, day to day operations and audits Provides guidance to field employees and project managers onmatters concerning job site quality. Conducts job site or on-site coachingand development of employees to ensure compliance with project engineeringplans and permits.Attend project related meetings such as pre-construction walkthroughs, safety, outage planning with internal crews, subcontractor crewsand clientAssist with daily job reporting, field verification, jobbooks, document control and QA/QC documentationUpdate and track key performance metrics that optimizeperformance and productivity to reduce costsCatalog, update and maintain project drawings to includeas-builts in preparing turnover package to clientUtilize mobile GIS programs for mapping features and logginginspection points.Lead a team to complete inspection reports and communicateaction items to project teamParticipates in various cross-functional teams internally andexternally to continually develop and refine organizational processesrelated to job site quality and construction procedures/schedules Provides valid statistical information and applicableanalyses to the crews regarding job site quality and constructionprocedures/schedule.Analyze startup/construction schedule. Analyze upcoming tasksand anticipate equipment installation standards, checklist procedures andtraining. Performs Project Expectations Review (A review of KeyEssential Planning Elements that support project success) with projectleadership and provides feedback, recommended corrective actions to theProject Managers, Work Crew members as well as key Management leadershippersonnel and support functions (as example; Safety, Purchasing,Preconstruction Services, Engineering, Estimating, and Productivity Group.Requirements:This position requires aself-motivated person with a passion for hands-on work in outdoorenvironments.Must have a desire to work in a team-based environment andcontribute immediately.High school education and two or four-year degreerequired.Preferred degree in construction management, engineering,environmental, project management and/or safety3-5 years experience in quality control or quality assurance. Individual must be able to work independently, be flexiblewith daily work hours (including occasional early mornings), work onmultiple jobs simultaneously, and fulfill all job requirements within atimely fashion. Individual must be able to spend majority of theirtime on construction job sites with their team to perform roles andresponsibilities. Safe driving record and habits are a requirement ofemployment as a significant volume of driving will occur.Desire to learn and grow personally and professionally.Positive safety attitude and personal integrity - both arenon-negotiable.Be highly customer-service oriented.
