Each day, you will deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention by effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations.The work model for the role is remote, preferably for someone located in Georgia or South Carolina. #LI-Remote.You will be mainly accountable for:Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer's operations and eliminate pain points.Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform.Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.Acting as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers.Our team dynamicsYou will join a dynamic team, where you will be able to thrive.Qualifications for the roleAssociate's degree in a related field and 2+ years of electrical/electronics, instrumentation or process control related work/military experience required. Or HS diploma/GED and 4+ years of related work/military experience required.Ability to read electrical drawings and utilize for troubleshooting electrical systems.Ability to diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems up to 240 VAC/870 VDC and perform preventive maintenance using electrical test equipment.Candidate should know how to identify voltage systems that are above the level 240 VAC/870 VDC.Basic understanding of the paper making process and process control a plus.Exposure to QCS programming and troubleshooting is beneficial.Travel up to 80% may be required for training and assisting various sites.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.More about usThe Process Industries Division serves the mining, minerals processing, metals, cement, pulp and paper, battery manufacturing, and food and beverage, as well as their associated service industries.
