Human by nature.As our next Quality Control Team Lead, reporting to our Quality Control Manager, you will develop and enhance Quality Control programs, plan, organize, and lead the execution of these programs, and oversee the olfactive and analytical QC laboratories. You will ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, with a focus on maintaining the integrity of QC results and meeting the agreed QC service level.This position is located in Mt. Olive, NJIn this exciting role, you will be responsible for:Strategy Design and ExecutionHelp design tactical and operational plans for the site function and build QC tasks in a signed area(s) of activity to meet quality control goals.Ensure that all products or services meet established quality standards and comply with all relevant regulations and guidelines.Develop and implement quality control procedures, test methods, and inspection plans to ensure that all products or services meet the established quality standards.Function ManagementCommunicate material non-conformance (QN's) and information updates to main contacts in Quality, Operations, Purchasing, and Customer Care.Perform WET chemistry testing, GC and sensory evaluation, calibration, validation, and troubleshooting instrument errors.Manage QC Analysts and QC Technicians in completing chemical, physical testing or sensory evaluation of raw materials, intermediates and products as identified by the current Givaudan's specification for the item Monitor both team and individual performance and workload.Identify and resolve quality issues that arise during the production or delivery of products or services; escalate/discuss issues with the manager and communicate rejections and information updates to the main contacts in Quality, Operations, Purchasing, and Customer Care.Conduct regular quality audits to ensure that all products or services meet the established quality standards and also manage the maintenance of test equipment, identifying future resource needs, and are dedicated test spaces for the Raw Materials, Finished Goods and GC labs.Ensure continuous improvement in the quality control processes and procedures to ensure that products or services meet the established quality standards; set proactive measures to prevent issues.Complete the program(s) within the approved budget.People ManagementTrain QC analysts and QC technicians in achieving safe, correct, and efficient completion of assigned work and lead the development and promotion of local QC talents within operations.Contribute to the execution of annual HRS processes within the local QC organization.Work with local operations management and HR partners to develop a talent pipeline for the local QC organization.Technical SkillsProficient in systems and techniques for laboratory operations (e.g. weighing balance, Densitometer, Refractometer, Moisture balances, Karl Fischer Titrator, Sieve testing equipment, GC)Proficient in production methods and quality control systems in manufacturing facilities.Knowledge of product technologies and applications.Knowledge of ingredient and product safety principles and global standards and regulations.Knowledge of ingredients and product labeling regulations.Knowledge of sensory principles and understanding of the data analysis of sensory results.Required Qualifications:BS in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or related disciplineOverall work experience of 5+ years in a similar position.Previous background in Sensory Evaluation and Analytical QCAdditional ExperienceMaster's DegreeWhat We Can Offer You:MedicalVisionHigh matching 401k plan#LI-Onsite#OPSAt Givaudan, you contribute to delightful taste and scent experiences that touch people's lives.
