Rogers Group is seeking candidates to fill the Aggregates Quality Control Technician position with our Canton Quarry team in Cadiz, KY. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, safety conscious individual with a strong drive for continuous improvement and a willingness to provide support when needed.The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and will be responsible for a wide variety of quality control efforts including but not limited to testing materials produced to assure compliance with internal and external specifications, providing technical services and support to internal and external customer, attention to detail, and maintaining control charts and other required records. The potential candidates for the role must be enthusiastic and have an uncompromising emphasis on safety.Job Responsibilities:
- Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
- Skilled in operating quality control lab equipment and testing materials.
- Preferred certifications: KATP Certified Aggregate Technician
- Ability to problem solve and demonstrate critical thinking
- Ability to lift 50 pounds continuously throughout the day
- Basic mechanical/repair skills
- Basic math and computing/technology skills
- Flexible schedule (night shift and possible Saturday shifts)
- Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision
- Operate testing equipment and company vehicles in a responsible and safe manner
- Perform daily housekeeping operations and maintain a clean lab environment
Qualifications:
- We will consider candidates with a High School diploma and 3+ years of experience in the aggregate industry.
- College degree and 1+ years of quality control experience in the construction aggregates (crushed stone, sand & gravel) industry preferred but not required
- Proficiency with MS Office applications and Stonemont, or similar
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; be able to work on a team
