Reject product in non-conformance. Report food safety and quality problems to Plant Management and SQFP to initiate action. Instructions shall be available setting out how all tasks critical to meeting customer specifications; the maintenance of food safety, quality, and process efficiency is to be performed. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Report food safety and quality issues to Plant management and SQFP
- Follow PIM Brands GMP rules
- Monitor fellow employees for adherence to GMPs.
- Ability to work additional hours as needed
Kitchen/Mogul Inspector:
- Overseeing production processes to ensure adherence to process parameters and specifications.
- Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
- Temperature of product at different stages of production.
- Perform Brix (refractometer) analysis.
- Perform pH analysis (pH meter).
- Perform organoleptically testing for colors and flavors.
- Obtain samples of starch, product after curing, and bulk retains for laboratory analysis.
- Performs calibration of pH meter and refractometer.
- Gather samples for retain and Microbiology.
- Perform visual, sponge swab, and ATP testing after equipment is cleaned and sanitized.
- Perform line inspection and clearance.
- Inspect products to ensure that they meet quality standards.
- Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
- Communicate the results of inspections and put forward corrective suggestions.
- Place on hold and document any nonconforming materials, products and equipment.
- Clean, organize and maintain QC workstations.
- Approve or reject reworked items.
- Conduct GMP inspections to ensure compliance.
- Monitor, verify and document Critical Control Points (CCP) for Food Safety.
- Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
- Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
- Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
Packaging Inspector:
- Overseeing packaging processes to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Perform and document metal detector test to assure its proper function.
- Record Temperature and Relative Humidity of the Packaging room.
- Weigh pouch samples for all machines and document.
- Verify that all codes and expiration dates are correct. Verify that all pouches and cases coincide with each other and product packaged.
- Verify Empty Pouch Reject System.
- Reject any product out of specification.
- Approve or reject reworked items.
- Perform visual, sponge swab, and ATP testing after equipment is cleaned and sanitized.
- Perform line inspection and clearance.
- Conduct GMP inspections to ensure compliance.
- Monitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCP) for Food Safety.
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
- Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
- Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
Panning Room Inspector:
- Overseeing production processes to ensure adherence to process parameters and specifications.
- Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
- Perform and Record Temperature and Relative Humidity of different areas.
- Record the temperature of the product at different stages.
- Weigh pieces of product before and after coating.
- Record the weight of cases packaged.
- Perform the metal detector test.
- Perform visual, sponge swab, and ATP testing after equipment is cleaned and sanitized.
- Perform line inspection and clearance.
- Gather samples for retain, Microbiology, and laboratory analysis.
- Reject and document any product out of specification.
- Verify Critical Control Points and Critical Quality Points.
- Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
- Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
- Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
Shipping & Receiving Inspector:
- Inspect and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Verify that the Certificate of Analysis is provided by the Supplier and FDA documents have been released for imported products.
- Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and entering data in the computer system.
- Release or Reject in the ERP Infor M3 system.
- Communicate quality-related deficiencies to Purchasing for resolution.
Resolve quality-related issues in a timely mannerQualificationsPHYSICAL DEMANDSStanding, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling and crouching. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools and controls. Lifting and moving of objects weighing 15 lbs. Reasonable accommodations will be evaluated and considered to enable an individual to perform the essential job functions.WORK ENVIRONMENTJob will generally be performed in the manufacturing plant. When on the plant floor it is representative of a large, busy manufacturing operation. Noisy, active, objects on the floor, constant movement and traffic flow of motorized equipment. Hair net, beard net, assigned work uniform, protective eye wear and gloves are among the GMP required apparel that must be worn, if indicated, on the plant floor. EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED is strongly preferred, Associates Degree in science discipline preferred.
- Basic math and general knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred.
- General knowledge of GMPs, HACCP/HARPC, SQF and ERP systems preferred.
- High degree of accuracy in performing analysis.
- Ability to read, speak, and write English is required.
