JOB DESCRIPTION Quality Control Technician Job Title: Quality Control Technician Department: Production Reports To: Plant Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt Prepared By: Human Resources Hours: Full Time Summary : Enthusiastic and hardworking quality technician with a good eye for detail. You will be responsible for performing standardized quality control checks on our company products to ensure they meet the required legal and company standards for safety and quality. You may also be required to maintain calibrated test equipment, prepare test data, and identify areas for quality control improvement. To ensure success as a quality technician, you should have a strong working knowledge of mathematical concepts, excellent visual awareness, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ultimately, a top-class quality technician can efficiently monitor the integrity and quality of products without impeding production rates. Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Verify dimensions and measurements to standards on prints. · Review finished tank for proper FRP laminate standards. · Review finished tanks for cosmetic flaws and proper finish. · Communicate professionally with team members issues to improve overall quality. · Review and work with/train team members in lane on quality of laminate process. · Verify dimensions to prints on in house manufactured items. · Prioritize work to facilitate tanks meeting production schedule goal/deadlines. · Work directly with production supervisor and take direction. · Work on production floor with engineering on complex projects. · Accurately and completely fill out all required paperwork, check sheets.
