Join us and discover a pathway for career advancement, where your hard work is not only recognized, but rewarded.This role is a full-time permanent position working Monday-Friday.What you will do as a QC Technician:* Conduct thorough inspections of lumber and wood products to ensure they meet our quality standards.* Perform various tests on products to check for defects, moisture content, and other quality indicators.* Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and any quality issues detected.* Ensure all products comply with industry standards and company specifications.* Identify and report any quality issues and work with production staff to implement corrective actions.* Recommend and assist in implementing process improvements to enhance product quality.* Work closely with production staff, supervisors, and other team members to ensure quality standards are consistently met.Experience and skills that will help you stand out:* Previous experience in quality control, preferably in a sawmill or wood products industry.* High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training or certification in quality control is a plus.* Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying defects and quality issues.* Understanding of wood products, grading standards, and quality control processes.* Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.* Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.#CSPHDon't check off every single bullet point?
