Job Summary and Qualifications
The quality program objectives include promoting the delivery of quality patient care, promotion of safety and reduction in medical errors by the clinical staff. This objective can be met through information gathering and performance of clinical analysis, which are designed to identify patterns of patient care events that may lead to sub-optimal outcomes and identify areas where patient care needs improvement. This is accomplished by development of statistical tools to display performance over time allowing for the analysis of data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Activities will include data collection of clinical data, including, but not limited to Mortality reviews, physician peer review, clinical data collection and report preparation. This position will be required to develop reports for various medical staff committees and other functions. Works closely with the Director of Quality Risk Management. The Quality Coordinator may be required to assist in the generation of program reports for OPPE / FPPE and the maintenance of confidential physician quality files.
What qualifications you will need:
* Must hold a current license in the state of Texas as a registered professional nurse
* ADN required
* BSN preferred
* Must have 5 years in healthcare
* Acute care is essential
* Skilled in use of PowerPoint, Excel and other statistical tools and concepts
