Job Description:
The Quality Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Chief Quality Officer in implementing the quality improvement program that systematically monitors and evaluates and interprets the quality and appropriateness of processes and outcomes throughout the organization. The focus of this position is in regard to accreditation requirements in Medical Staff, such as, OPPE, FPPE, Credentialing, also in data aggregation, evaluation, verification and analysis to ensure quality improvement initiatives.Education:Required: High school Diploma or GEDPreferred:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing,Graduate of an accredited School of Professional NursingExperience•Required: Three (3) years of experience in Quality•Required: Strong Computer Skill; MS Office, Database Management •Preferred: Three (3) years of Clinical Nursing Experience;Two (2) years of leadership experience •Preferred: Knowledge of process improvement, change management concepts, and basic understanding of statistical applications•Preferred: Knowledge of med staff credentialing processes and professional practice evaluationsLicenses/CertificatesRequired: Current BLS (Basic Life Support)- Due by close of business on the last day of the month after one (1) full month of workPreferred: Current licensure in professional nursing from the New Mexico State Board of Nursing or compact RN license
