Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Work hours Friday-Sunday 6pm-6am Plans and arranges own work according to the daily activity schedule. Uses basis statistics, product, and process knowledge. Seeks Supervisor's approval when needed. Test product following prescribed methods according to customer product requirements (CPR), product process requirements (PPR), test plans, first of batch (FOB), or other testing as required including but not limited to peels, release water retention, surface energy (dynes), NDC, Record, chart, and take appropriate action based on results. Certifies customer orders and assures conformance Create, maintain, and utilize statistical process control (SPC) charts to analyze test results. Record runs, trends, or other out-of-control situations and notify the supervisor. Use and maintain inspection reports. Collect product samples from Manufacturing and conduct specified tests to verify conformance. Work with Manufacturing teams to ensure that products meet customer requirements while supporting the flow of the value stream. Prepare and maintain test data for review. Analyze data using statistical methods for customer specification development. Calibrate equipment or verify calibration according to schedule or as needed. Maintain clean and safe facility and equipment. Evaluate data noting any relevant deviations from existing standards. Interpret test results and compare them to the specifications and control limits in place while providing recommendations on the appropriateness of data. Complete necessary documentation to support the testing procedures and issue material non-conformances as needed. Determine if the product meets specifications. Issue work order remakes, and/or stop shipments to customers as needed. Track order status through the system. Deviations/Quality alerts, on-holds, and rejections. Utilize Lean Manufacturing methodology and thinking. Identify areas for improvement and implement new methods accordingly. Conduct necessary audits at prescribed frequencies: SPCSG dialogsaudits, EXDE, NDC, and static audits. Stays current with issues and shares knowledge through participation in cross-shift and department dialog including meetings, emails, reports, and other means of communication.SECONDARY ELEMENTS: Attend Circle, Town Hall, Kaizen, DPI, Risk Analysis, FMEA, Safety, and other meetings. Perform other related duties as required or directed.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: EDUCATION: 4-year degree preferred or equivalent experience EXPERIENCE: 0-3 years' experience COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES: Diversified duties and a wide range of procedures. Requires the use of judgment in the analysis of facts and in determining actions to be taken within standard practice.
