Quality Data Analyst This individual will be responsible for direct and indirect activities in the Quality Department, and willreport to a Quality Manager. The individual will collect, interpret, and analyze data obtained through business processes and requirements document and report to staff and management with the results. Recommend process improvement based upon the findings. Nature of Duties This particular position is responsible for performing various functions with the Quality Organization which include the following:
- Create the material for and conduct the morning Quality Review and other regularly scheduled meetings during which plant-wide perforamance metrics are reviewed.
- Illustrate performance trends and present in written and graphical form for engineering and management.
- Create tangible value for the company by recording and analyzing complex defect data and using it to drive quality improvements.
- Monitor yield and defect trends for all programs across all SCI manufacturing and test processes.
- Execute data extracts, format results and provide tabular and graphical information to internal staff members in preparation for daily product Quality and improvement meetings.
- Collect and analyze data for each of the responsible Quality Engineers (QEs). Data depicts defects and defect trends and exposes areas for improvement measures.
- Covert raw data to graphical form and review with the QE staff as necessaryto ensure that the staff members are able to effectively and efficiently present the data
- Create PowerPoints and charts to show historical data and facilitate the meetings during which the QE staff members report that data
- Using data collected from MES for42Q, identify key areas/processes for yield improvement and defect reduction.
- Data mining and selection of the data associated with key process areas in preparation for the yield analysis.
- Utilize tools i.e. Excel, Minitab to organize and analyze raw data to identify non-conformance trends.
- Structuring the database in a user-friendly view.
- Provide detailed intelligence for specific programs
- Monitor defect data for variation or abnormal increases
- Update program specific databases
- Complete program specific action tracker reports
- Join Corporate Quality and external customer calls to help create solutions
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business related field; strong math/statistics is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience preparing quality reports, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
