Overview
As a member of the quality team, the Quality Department Assistant supports and assists the Quality Department in multiple aspects of quality-driven initiatives, data tracking and trend reports and provides all aspects of administrative support as needed. This position will be required to travel to LSCC facilities as needed. The Quality Department Assistant will collaborate with employees at all levels within the organization, must be able to maintain professional working relationships, and provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
* Assists in the design of tools for tracking for statistical data gathering, evaluation and monitoring of various quality programs and initiatives, e.g. vaccines, adverse incident reports, etc.
* Assist the Quality Department with various accreditation and regulatory initiatives including but not limited to Joint Commission, HRSA, FTCA, and LSCC's Annual Competency Fair
* Assists with the coordination and support of employee health initiatives in collaboration with designated personnel including health and compliance tracking to accomplish quality related goals and tasks
* Completes New Employee Orientation onboarding & Fit Testing and assists with the Learning Management System
* Assist with ImmTrac and vaccine administration under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
* Generate reports, presentations, and documents
* Assist in the preparation of required materials for new clinic sites
* Assist with clinic tracer activities and other quality and safety initiatives including performing, documenting, and data reporting
* Assists with the coordination and support of infection control initiatives and activities including data collection and preparation of reporting
* In collaboration with the Facilities Department, tracks and assists in scheduling equipment inspections for the clinic sites including fire equipment and egress inspections
* Assists with maintaining employee health files as well as tracking and reporting employee injuries
* Provide support for process improvements related to the Quality Department administrative functions
* Assists in creating, maintaining and updating manuals and documents necessary for Joint Commission survey and/or other accreditations/recognitions, including tracking of compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements and various funding agencies
* Supports compliance with regulatory requirements related to organizational performance improvement, safety and accreditation
* Handle confidential information in a professional and discreet manner including confidential patient information
* Assist with third party payer audits
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSE:
* High School Diploma or GED
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSE:
* Medical Assistant Certification
* Prior medical office and/or healthcare setting experience
* Prior data collection and reporting experience
* College level degree
* Bilingual English/Spanish language skills
