Job Title: Quality ManagerLocation: Winfield WVDepartment: Quality AssuranceReports To: Manufacturing Operations Mgr.Job Summary:The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products and services meet the established standards of quality, including reliability, usability, and performance. This role involves developing and implementing quality management systems, conducting audits, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:- Quality Management Systems:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standards.
- Document and maintain quality policies, procedures, and manuals.
- Quality Control:
- Oversee the inspection and testing of products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues and customer complaints.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Audits and Compliance:
- Conduct internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Prepare for and manage third-party audits and certifications.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and train quality assurance staff.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement improvements.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records and documentation.
- Track and analyze key quality metrics and trends.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 25 pounds.
- Exposure to manufacturing environment conditions, including noise and temperature variations.
