The RoleWe are seeking to appoint a Quality Engineer, Data Analytics to join our Complaint Handling Unit on a permanent basis. This role will work a standard week. As a Quality Engineer, Data Analytics at QuidelOrtho, you will utilize multiple data sources to collect and process data. You will generate data presentations and dashboards for quality departments. You will manage routine processes, data and/or sets of tasks in addition to contributing to larger projects. The role may also require you to assist the complaint management process and play a role in the other types of investigations carried out by the Complaint Handling Unit.
This role will be onsite in Rochester, NY
The ResponsibilitiesCompiling data and reporting metrics to support QRC functions as required. Work with group members and internal customers to ensure requirements are defined and met.
Assist business partners on post market product safety and quality issues. -Verification of technical accuracy.
Participating in projects as team member with specific identified deliverables.
Participate in the efforts for QRC to become more analytics driven. Including the creation of data rich dashboards and visual presentation of complex information
Support a continuous improvement culture with a focus on metrics, benchmarking, and best practices.
Provide support during internal and external audits.
Provide input and support during escalation of safety and quality issues based on surveillance data.
Maintain appropriate measures and indicators to support a high performance and continuous process improvement culture.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in data analytics, Statistics, Science or Engineering
Experience as using statistical applications including PowerBI, Tableaux, SAS, R and routine Microsoft applications.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Problem-solving attitude with an eye for detail.
Preferred:
1+ year(s) of relevant work experience.
Experience in a data analyst role encompassing the collection and reporting of data from varied sources.
Previous experience in a quality or medical device environment.

Salary TransparencyThe salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $99,000 annually. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
