Country:United States of AmericaLocation:XL Specialized Trailers, 1086 South 3rd St., Manchester, Iowa 52057Position Overview:The XL Quality organization is looking for talented candidates to fill a new opening for a Quality Engineer on our QA & Continuous Improvement team. This role will serve as a subject matter experts (SME's) to lead the implementation and maturation of strategic XL Quality processes, such as ISO-9001, which is currently being implemented. In addition, this person will serve as a technical resource with whom Quality leadership can consult for guidance and assistance with quality assurance-related concerns.Primary Responsibilities:Identifying and leveraging best practices in Quality Assurance and Manufacturing-related processesAssisting in development of Quality process strategy and identifying opportunities for improvement across the organizationEvaluating and interpreting both industry requirements and internal Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements with the goal of developing robust XL procedures and instructions,Helping site Quality teams, Quality Inspectors, and/or senior Quality leadership as subject matter expert (SME) to investigate and correct quality issues and establish continuous improvement opportunitiesLead and facilitate projects generated from our High-Performance Team Board processLead and facilitate installation and implementation of ISO-9001 quality management systems.Basic Qualifications:Successfully leverages experience supporting manufacturing, product and/or customer quality processes to implement process improvementsUtilizes knowledge and expertise to provide input to and influence the development, application, and maintenance of prevention, root cause corrective action, quality control systems, and protocolsFacilitates, communicates, and visualizes process flows for stakeholders and teamsFunctional, matrixed teams to achieve project implementationBuilds relationships with various levels of leadership and individual contributors and influences culture by leveraging change management skillsImplements projects using demonstrated proactive project management skills and risk mitigation techniquesSolution focused - Designs and delivers solutions that meet organizational needs and bring value to the organizationLeads efforts and development with minimal oversight, sets objectives and guides others on execution/approach for achievement of operational results.Must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder25-50% travelEngineering degree required.Communicates with and to all levels of the organization - clear and concise objectives, identifies and share risks and opportunities, ability to create value statementPreferred Qualifications:Expertise in ISO-9000 and internal auditingCORE, Lean, or Six-Sigma experience a plusManufacturing Engineering experienceBS in Mechanical Engineering or related college degreeSome of our competitive benefits package includes:Free Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee AND dependents!Three weeks of vacation for newly hired employees12 Paid Holidays -including your birthday!Generous 401(k) plan that includes employer matching funds Tuition reimbursementLife insurance and disability coverageDoctor on Demand, virtual doctor visits
