The position is responsible for developing, maintaining, communicating, and ensuring the Quality Management System is adhered to. This position will also provide investigation and analysis of material and data to determine root cause analysis of non-conformities. The goal of this position is to achieve customer satisfaction and compliance to customer, regularity, statutory and other requirements as part of the Quality Management System. This position reports to the Quality Manager. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AND TASKSPrimary Responsibilities:
  • Contact Person for our customers and suppliers in all quality-relevant topics
  • Develop work procedures to improve quality goals and eliminate waste for the site
  • Maintain the Quality Management System and all quality records
  • Assist operations and engineering with defining appropriate manufacturing processes & procedures
  • Create and maintain quality test procedures and test documentation
  • Maintain ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards through creation and management of internal procedures
  • Review engineering technical requirements for flow down of customer specifications
  • Quality planning of customer requirements in developing and implementation of internal documents
  • Perform internal and external quality audits
  • Perform root cause analysis to resolve issues relative to product & process quality on time to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assist with development of PFMEAs, Control Plans, and PPAPs
  • Training and support on new quality initiatives and projects
  • Identify, monitor, and react to KPIs
  • Identify opportunities to proactively improve customer satisfaction, improve business performance, or improve product quality
  • Represent Quality in meetings and reviews to ensure considerations for quality performance are included in making decisions
  • Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; and making recommendations.
  • Ensures products adhere to company and industry quality standards
  • Some travel to customers and suppliers required in this position
YOUR PROFILEMinimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in mechanical or materials engineering or equivalent
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 standard required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in quality engineering and manufacturing field, including quality improvement tools and techniques, quality auditing, root cause analysis and mistake proofing
Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills Performance and Results Oriented
  • Ability to achieve Six Sigma Green Belt certification and ISO/IATF Auditor Qualification
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
  • The role is office-based but will spend time standing and walking, bending, reaching, grabbing and climbing on the production floors and campus
  • Employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Travel may be required
