Job Details

We are seeking a passionate and talented Permanent Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to our commitment to excellence and innovation in the Engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality engineering methodologies and providing solutions to a range of complex technical issues. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong capacity for strategic thinking, problem-solving, and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control systems to ensure product reliability and consistency
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes and reduce waste
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to troubleshoot and resolve quality-related issues
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Design and execute testing protocols to evaluate the functionality and lifespan of products
  • Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts through the facilitation of FMEAs, quality circles, and other lean initiatives
  • Train and mentor team members on new processes and quality control techniques
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and best practices in the engineering industry

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality engineering role within the engineering industry
  • Proficient knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
  • Excellent understanding of quality control techniques and statistical methods
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a results-driven approach
  • Proficiency in using quality engineering tools and software
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification would be an added advantage
