Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARYAssists in establishing and maintaining a quality assurance system to ensure products meet all customer dimensional and metallurgical requirements.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSResponsibilities include
  • Reviewing and ensuring compliance with customer blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Preparing procedures for special processes (e.g., heat treatment, chemical processing, coating).
  • Reviewing operational routings for customer compliance.
  • Assisting manufacturing with studies to evaluate gaging effectiveness and process capability.
  • Conducting metallurgical evaluations and preparing reports on raw materials and products for problem-solving and process approvals.
  • Performing and monitoring testing to ensure processes remain in control and products meet customer requirements.
  • Operating and maintaining systems for testing and certifying raw materials and products.
  • Compiling information and coordinating testing to obtain customer approval for manufacturing processes.
  • Providing purchasing with information to ensure material orders comply with specifications.
  • Maintaining records related to raw material and product certification and testing.
  • Conducting internal and external audits to ensure compliance with customer and my client requirements.
  • Advising other departments on dimensional, metallurgical, and technical subjects.
  • Collaborating with customer and supplier representatives to meet quality requirements.
  • Analyzing customer blueprints to determine optimal manufacturing and inspection processes.

  • Strong understanding of quality system requirements.
  • Ability to meet job and customer requirements.
  • Knowledgeable in production and operations.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective at working and communicating with all levels of the organization, customers, and suppliers.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 1-3 years of related experience required; 5+ years in a Quality Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer role preferred.
