Job Description:
The Quality Engineer- (QE) will serve as the immediate delegate to the Quality Systems & Controls Manager & Regional Quality Manager. The QE I will ensure that the quality standards of the company remain maintained within the CBI Waterproofing procedures, policies, purchased components and manufactured products. They will participate in and may lead complaint investigations, CAPA investigations, lead supplier audits, drive supplier quality, conduct internal audits and drive continuous improvement projects throughout the plant. They may be supporting any facility expansions, software validations, equipment qualifications and/or process validations required to support existing/new processes. The QE I will participate in and host third party audits and conduct training when needed. Implementation, maintenance, and control of systems & practices, which monitor, assess, and approve the quality of materials and products at all stages of production. Responsible for implementing, maintaining, and facilitating continuous quality improvement objectives. Ensure the plant remains in full compliance with regulatory requirements and ISO requirements as they pertain to the plant, customer specifications, and corporate quality policies.+ Lead resolution of internal and external quality issues such as inquiries, quality events, SCARs, complaints, nonconformance's, CAPAs, audits utilizing sound problem solving methodologies. Ensure robust root cause analysis investigation and CAPA for deviations and nonconforming products. Drive continuous process improvements with systematic approaches.+ Oversee Quality Review of batch documentation and testing and determine disposition for production batches and incoming raw materials. Acts as liaison between production floor and supply chain for problem resolution and batch documentation scheduling to ensure delivery to customer on time.+ Project Management.+ Supplier Quality.+ Validation activities.+ Customer Management including facilitate/host customer audits. Satisfy customer requests and complete the associated documentation.+ Conducts training, coordinate's function, resolves issues/problems, and manages projects requiring direction of others throughout the facility as needed.+ Indirect management of Quality Technicians. Assist talent management activities with indirect reports. Ensure proper performance management and training._-Travel Requirement up to 20% - training, collaboration._--+ Bachelor's Degree Engineering required.+ 2 - 5 years' experience Manufacturing Environment (ISO Environment) required.+ 1 - 2 years' experience - Lead Auditor preferred.+ Strong knowledge of ISO and GMP requirements and relevant industry standard practices is required. Must have ability to interpret these regulations to ensure proper implementation in the plant systems.+ Must have experience in performing risk analysis (e.g. FMEA, FTA, Risk Ranking/Filtering).+ Excellent analytical / problem solving, project management, interpersonal and organizational skills required.+ Proficient with Microsoft Access, Excel and Word required.+ Must be a team player. Must have effective communications skills both written and verbal to interface with internal and external personnel and customers in a professional manner.+ Must work well in a team environment, possess an ability to adapt to change in the environment, and have proven ability to exert influence in a directive and positive manner.+ Must be able to lead, manage, and motivate a team through direct management or matrix management.+ Strong project management skills.+ WCM of Six Sigma Greenbelt (or equivalent).+ ASQ Certifications desirable (CQE, CQM, CQA).We provide unique options to fit your unique lives!
