Job descriptionOverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This position involves analyzing processes, conducting quality inspections, and implementing quality assurance practices to enhance product reliability and performance.Key Roles and Responsibilities1) The primary responsibility is to provide dimensional support to the plant.2) Develop and /or revision of PPAP documentation3) Supplier development activities (As needed).4) First point of contact for customers.5) Primary Corrective and Preventive Action generator.6) Develop and /or revise TS16949 procedures and work instructions for quality.7) Root Cause Analysis of quality issues.8) Any other responsibilities assign by the Quality Manager.9) Under the guidance of the Launch Coordinator, make preparations for the launch of new platform programs.10) Track the progress of newly launched platform11) programs and lead the effort in securing customer specific awards12) The principle goals of this position are to prevent/eliminate defects, increase customer satisfaction and achieve cost savings through Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) techniques.13) Assigned to cross-functional team.14) Prepare or assist in the development of quality documents that include PPAP submissions, PCPs, FMEAs, Flow charts, statistical studies, gage studies15) Evaluation of statistical data: Cp, CpK16) Initiate and follow-up corrective actions17) Analysis of customer complains18) Prepare and carry out presentations to the customer19) Evaluate the quality of the product in customers locations20) Coordinate the sorting and containment of the faulty or suspicious finished product21) Communicate potential problems to these involved22) Establish the acceptance criteria for cosmetic matters23) Begin validation of the equipment, MSA studies24) Participation in the production of quality system documents25) Support the assembly processes in the points related to quality26) Assure follow-up to the quality procedures27) Follow-up corrective actions28) Evaluation and approval of engineering and PCR changes29) Elaboration of quality metrics for managerial review30) Supervise and evaluate the activities of auditors31) Feedback to the internal and external customer32) Receive notifications of the results of the laboratory tests33) Comply with the procedures and instructions of the quality and environment standards (those applicable)34) Provide support and training to the personnel under his charge, as requiredJob RequirementsWork Experience1) 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in quality.2) Previous Quality Engineering experience required, preferably in an automotive environment.Education1) High School Diploma2) College degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience and training.Knowledge Skills and Abilities1) Ability to read and understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.2) Excellent problem solving skills.3) Ability to travel to the customers and suppliers locations and other Facilities4) Familiar with ISO 9000 and QS 9000/TS16949 requirements.5) Ability to develop and/or revise PPAP documentation.6) Strong communication skills.7) Knowledge of Control Plans8) Quality Standard system 8) Quality and environmental systems9) English 70% (written and spoken)10) Handling of computational packages (MS OFFICE)11) Leadership 12) Problem solving techniques (QRQC)13) DOE14) Quality and environmental procedures and/or instructions of the area15) Applied statistics16) PFMEA17) PPAS18) APQP19) MSA20) Managing meetings21) Structuring and production of procedures22) Communication and feedback techniques23) Human Relations24) Service and attentionJoin us in our mission to deliver exceptional products while ensuring compliance with industry standards through rigorous quality engineering practices.To apply go to atworkknox.ComJob Type: Full-timePay: $65, 000.00 - $90, 000.00 per yearSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftExperience:ISO 9001: 1 year (Preferred)Ability to Commute:Clinton, TN 37716 (Preferred)Ability to Relocate:Clinton, TN 37716: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
