How do you excel in this position The Quality Engineer will lead and develop a robust quality management system that ensures Stark Compression consistently delivers high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective compression skids that meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements. This role involves overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and control, including incoming material inspection, process monitoring, final product inspection, and supplier quality management. The Quality Engineer will drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing and Six Sigma, to optimize processes and reduce defects. What are we looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a quality engineering role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001.
  • Experience with welding inspection and testing standards (ASME, AWS).
  • Proficiency in quality tools and techniques, such as root cause analysis and 8D problem-solving.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
What we would love to see
  • Certification as a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI)
  • Knowledge of ASME B31.1 and B31.3 pipe welding codes
  • Experience with complex, highly engineered products/systems
  • General knowledge of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, and motors
