Quality Engineer
A Snapshot of Your Day
Contributes to keeping spoilage, scrap and fixed work and associated labor and burden to a minimum through early detection and information feedback for corrective action. Provides reports periodically on status of quality.
How You'll Make an Impact
Addresses quality issues related to non-conforming material and obtains timely disposition to maintain flow of production material.
Reviews new product designs and current product redesign with engineering and manufacturing to improve product performance, reduce product cost and ensure “design in” quality.
Coordinates activities to resolve quality problems with manufacturing and engineering.
Ensures acceptable quality levels are maintained for all products shipped from facility.
Monitors and maintains quality system to meet operation and corporate quality objectives to include review of quality department standards.
What You Bring
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in an Engineering discipline, or related technical field with a minimum of 4 years' experience preferred; or High School diploma (or GED) and a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role is required.
Must be adaptable/flexible to constant changes in department resources, applications, techniques, tool materials and requirements.
Must be able to organize and prioritize workloads to maximum efficiency.
Strong communication, both verbal and written, skills, and the ability to develop good working relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal personnel.
Displays an attitude conducive to progress through positive change, continuous improvement and an active contributor to the teamwork concept.
Willing to work various shifts such as second or third when necessary.
This job is based in Painted Post, New York. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay. Details regarding our benefits can be found here: The base salary range for this position in Painted Post, New York New York is $74,000.00 – $95,000.00 and the annual incentive target is 10% of base salary.
Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications .
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
