Job Description:
Key Activities and Position Responsibilities
  • Develop quality procedures according to customer requirements and process specifications.
  • Develop and maintain sampling plans using recognized statistical methods.
  • Determine measurable quality improvement plans.
  • Prepare reports and make recommendations by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
  • Monitor, test, and inspect products to meet specified standards.
  • Review customer and/ engineering drawings for identification of key characteristics and critical items.
  • Participate on Change Board and MRB Board.
  • Participate in FAIs.
  • Perform and lead internal audits to ensure readiness for external audits.
  • Perform and lead root cause analysis to identify cause and specify appropriate preventive actions.
  • Prepare and maintain quality records.
  • Assist the Quality Director in implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System. Ensures compliance of QMS to external standards including AS9100 and Nadcap.
  • Develop training to enhance quality awareness, processes, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage suppliers' performance and conduct supplier quality audits.
  • Support Quality Inspectors ensuring compliance with processes and procedures.
  • Provide support to operations and contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results
Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This is a safety sensitive position that works in an environment in which safety and health concerns demand constant attention. Physical Demands This position is moderately active and frequently requires standing and walking for the duration of a shift along with the use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to talk or hear. The employee regularly is required to read and write to accurately complete documentation. Specific vision abilities required for this position include sufficient visual acuity to read written documents and computer monitors. Additional vision ability required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. If corrective lenses are required to achieve this level of vision, the corrective lenses must be compliant with OSHA requirements and the employee must be able to wear PPE without interfering with the corrective lenses or the required PPE. The employee occasionally may lift and move items over 25 pounds. Hours/Days of Work This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Thursday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel Travel is rare for this position however out-of-state and international travel may be assigned. When required, reasonable accommodations will be considered to enable individuals to perform these essential functions. Education and Experience
  • B.S. in Engineering or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar position at an advanced level, preferably in aerospace and defense industries.
  • Inspection experience to IPC-620/WHMA-A-620C and J-STD-001 standards.
  • Experience working in conformance to ISO quality management certifications, preferably AS9100 and NADCAP certifications.
  • CAD or CATIA experience
  • Familiarity with GD&T.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
