Description

The key responsibilities of the Quality Engineer are:

Quality Management System (QMS):

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System in accordance with aerospace industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality procedures and documentation.

Process Improvement:

• Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions.
• Analyze manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce defects.

Supplier Quality Management:

• Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, ensuring that all supplied materials and components meet quality specifications.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Quality Control:

• Establish and enforce quality control procedures throughout the manufacturing process.
• Conduct inspections and tests to verify product conformance to specifications.

Root Cause Analysis:

• Lead root cause analysis investigations for non-conformances, customer complaints, and other quality-related issues.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to address identified issues.

Profile

The successful Quality Engineer will have the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in quality engineering within the aerospace manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards, such as AS9100.
• Familiarity with precision machining processes and inspection techniques.
• Proficient in the use of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, statistical analysis).
• Ability to validate inspections, interpret GD&T blueprints, and perform shop math (including trigonometry).
• Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• ASQ certification (e.g., CQE) is a plus.
