Job DescriptionQuality EngineerPower Solutions International (PSI) is a leading manufacturer of emissions-certified powertrains specializing in customized and fully integrated turnkey solutions for the leading global equipment manufacturers in the industrial, transportation, and energy markets. Our facilities are housed in one million square feet of engineering, assembly, operations, and distribution space across seven facilities. We are positioned to meet the high production volumes of our customers with added capacity for growth.Position Summary:The Quality Engineer reports to the Quality Manager and will have quality systems responsibilities including developing and maintaining procedures, work instructions, process maps, and forms that are required to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001 Standards. In this role you will oversee supplier quality, conduct root cause analysis, and monitor field performance data for our Darien, WI and Beloit, WI facilities.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. The essential responsibilities include the following activities: Creating teams to solve customer issues via corrective actions and 8DsOnsite supplier auditsDeveloping and implementing Quality Management System procedures, work instructions, forms, and manuals for ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 complianceDeveloping, supporting and implementation of the use of Standardized Work Templates, including Standard Operation Sheets and Job Element Sheets for CARE InspectionCommunicate and work cooperatively with all departments to ensure full understanding and compliance with documented requirementsPerform training to the ISO 9001:2015 documented requirementsFacilitate Team and Department meetings to align work practices and to benchmark such documented operations for implementation at other PSI locationsConduct internal audits at planned intervals to determine if the quality management system (QMS) conforms to the standard.Implement, train and manage ISO documentation and maintain this documentation in accordance with the ISO 9001 requirements.Provide training and development to support the continuous improvement efforts of the Quality Management SystemOther duties as assigned by management Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology or a related fieldMinimum 2 years experience in a Quality function3+ years previous manufacturing experience with direct ISO 9001 or TS 16949 auditing responsibilitiesWillingness to travel to suppliers as needed (up to 10% domestically)Bilingual Spanish a plusProblem solving experience utilizing 8D, Statistical Problem Solving, Six Sigma, etc.Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Power Point, Word, and Excel) PSI is committed to providing a work environment where employees respect and value each other as individuals and is free of harassment and discrimination.
