Join our team as a Quality Engineer in manufacturing! In this exciting role, you'll ensure our manufacturing processes and products meet the highest standards and specifications. You'll be at the forefront of suggesting, implementing, and maintaining effective practices throughout our manufacturing environment. When out-of-specification conditions arise, you'll react quickly and effectively to address them.As an integral member of our Quality team, you'll be directly involved in establishing, implementing, and managing all quality-related efforts, both existing and new. If you're ready to make a significant impact and drive quality excellence, we want to hear from you!THE DAY TO DAY...Collaborate with internal and external customers' quality and engineering teams to determine critical part features and review manufacturability of design while making recommendations to modify customer part specifications and tolerances as necessary to support cost-effective production.Provide Quality Engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques.Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources.Effectively communicate and reinforce company commitment to quality improvement efforts.Determine when process capability studies should be performed on existing processes, review and analyze results, recommend changes to processes based upon findings and perform follow-up to verify effectiveness.Participate and coordinate with other departments (i.e.: Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, Tooling, Operations, etc.) product Quality planning activities to determine the appropriate use of existing and new products and processes.Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.Drive continuous improvement and elimination of waste using KPI metrics.Responsible and accountable to the performance of the Quality team/group.Ability to define and help resolve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.THE QUALIFICATIONS...Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations and/or Technical discipline.ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred.Minimum of 2 years experience with certified quality management system (e.g. TS 16949, ISO).Technical knowledge of steel fabrication and assembly processes.Capable of reviewing, understanding and critiquing Engineering drawings.Exceptional mechanical aptitude.Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment.Firsthand experience in the creation of Control Plans and FMEA records.Solid understanding of the value of process auditing.About AriensCoSince 1933, the AriensCo name has been associated with reliable, durably crafted, high-performance outdoor power equipment.
