Position: Quality Engineer
Location: Oxford, NC
Pay: $75k to $85k/year (depending on experience)
Experience:
- Proven experience in quality engineering or quality assurance roles within a machining or manufacturing environment required.
- Experience with quality documentation and compliance requirements, such as ISO 9001 or AS9100, is preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field required.

Greene Resources is seeking a Quality Engineer to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Manage the quality control process for machined components, ensuring compliance with established standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to enhance machining processes, driving improvements in quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify and analyze machining defects or non-conformities, and develop corrective and preventive actions to resolve underlying issues.
- Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and other relevant documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Apply statistical tools and techniques to analyze machining data, identify trends, and support data-driven decisions for quality improvements.
- Provide training and guidance to production operators and quality assurance personnel on quality control procedures, inspection techniques, and machining best practices.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machining quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
- Address customer concerns and quality issues related to machined components, working closely with customer-facing teams to ensure prompt resolution and satisfaction.
- Stay current with relevant quality standards, regulations, and industry best practices, ensuring organizational compliance. Update job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, and active participation in industry organizations.
- Use advanced metrology tools, such as Vision systems, to accelerate part inspections. This includes programming the system and designing fixtures as needed.
- Design fixtures for inspecting parts or assemblies.
Position Requirements:
- Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software is desirable.
- Experience with vision systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, particularly with CNC lathes and screw machines.
- Proficiency in quality management systems, statistical analysis tools, and quality assurance methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to conduct thorough root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and effectively communicate technical information to a diverse audience.
