We are currently seeking candidates for our Winsted, CT Location:
Process Quality Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Strong Project Management & Organizational skills
- Highly Proficient in AS9102 FAIR, PPAP and Process Validation activities
- Develop and improve quality plans to assure harmonized requirements of manufacturing process, customers, and engineering.
- Active MRB Team Member, tracking manufacturing process, driving RCCA problem solving.
- Support & Assist in Special Process Qualifications / Source Qual's and maintain KPI's and metrics.
- Participate in plant cost reduction initiatives through Kaizen events, six sigma project support, engineering project leadership and support.
- Create In-Process & Final Inspection Methods Sheets, conduct GR&R and Correlation Studies.
- Highly proficient with MS Suite and SPC Monitoring
- Collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Inspection team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical/industrial/manufacturing engineering preferred.
- Associate with 3 years relevant quality or manufacturing experience.
- Highly Proficient in GD&T.
- Familiarity with Pratt & Whitney requirements preferred.
- Understanding of or the aptitude to understand QMS requirements in compliance with aerospace customers, AS 9100 and or ISO 9001 2015 Standards.
- Knowledge and experience with First piece, In-Process and Final inspections and related equipment
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and good verbal communication skills in time sensitive situations.
Additional Experience:
- Prior DQR & LCS (CLCSR) Certification a PLUS
- Internal Quality Management System auditing a PLUS
- VBA or Python experience a PLUS
- Familiarization with Hexagon PC-DMIS, Mitutoyo Systems and GOM software a PLUS
