What You'll Do as Quality Engineer:
- Leverage your expertise in quality systems to enhance products and processes, ensuring compliance with customer, internal, and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization, including design, process engineering, manufacturing, sales, and purchasing, to resolve quality-related challenges.
- Create and maintain quality control plans incorporating statistical analysis and reporting trends to drive informed decisions.
- Develop and refine quality assurance procedures for new products and existing offerings.
- Oversee and document inspection criteria, pre-production QA protocols, and production startup processes.
- Partner with production supervisors to uphold and communicate quality standards.
- Conduct internal audits, prepare insightful reports, and maintain comprehensive quality records.
What You'll Bring as Quality Engineer:
- A high school diploma, HSED, or GED (required).
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (required).
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (strongly preferred).
- At least 10 years of experience in an ISO CNC and precision assembly environment.
- Expertise in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement with a focus on metal materials and CNC machining (7 years).
- Hands-on experience with internal audits, reporting, and advanced computer applications (Office 365).
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Proficiency in advanced mathematics, statistics, and precision measurement tools like CMM, gauges, and calipers.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprints, schematics, and process improvement techniques like value stream mapping and kaizen events.
