ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Represents the Quality Manager in their absence on current production concerns.
  • Conducts/facilitates problem solving.
  • Visits customers to present corrective action when needed.
  • Audits supplier concerns.
  • Performs daily data reviews (SPC analysis).
  • Creates and maintains the PPAP packages.
  • Creates and maintains shop floor quality documentation.
  • Participates in continuous improvement projects for the plant.
  • Interfaces with plant, engineering, customer, supplier, and production personnel to enhance introduction of new parts into production. Member of the Plant's APQP Core Team in planning for quality on new parts.
  • Handles and tracks sample submissions as needed, including writing and updating control plans, FMEA's, inspection check sheets, reports, etc.
  • Coordinates prototype documentation, tagging, and shipment.
  • Conducts new employee quality orientation as needed.
  • Has the authority to stop production operations concerning plant quality or safety issues.
  • Assists with internal EMS auditing and multiple other areas as directed.
  • Treats all team members with respect and dignity.
  • Performs other essential functions as assigned.
