Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer for a position based in Orlando, FL. The position requires mechanical or quality engineering experience developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products.What You Will Be DoingResponsibilities will include, but are not limited to:* Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.* Supports Integrated Product Teams and various production sites with reviews of quality data on yields, rework, scrap, and non-conformance aging.* Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex.* Attends and leads program corrective action meeting, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution, and ensures responsible parties meet commitments.* Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes dispositioning non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.* Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100.* Evaluate the design assurance activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality.* Interfaces with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality related issues.* Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.* Makes the final decision on acceptability of product.Why Join usDo you want to be part of a company culture that empowers employees to think big, lead with a growth mindset, and make the impossible a reality? A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.Basic Qualifications:STEM Degree at bachelors level or above, or combined experience/educationEngineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured productsAble to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instruction.Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics.Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques.Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex.Experience in disposition of non-conforming productsExperience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement.Advanced experience in Geometric Dimensioning and ToleranceKnowledge of Configuration and Data ManagementProficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Demonstrated Presentation skillsAbility to travelAbility to obtain a security clearanceDesired Skills:STEM degree at bachelors level or above preferred.Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.Special Process Engineering ExperienceASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and / or CQIA (Certified Quality Improvement Associate)SAP Application ExperienceExperience with use of inspection gages and measuring equipmentAS9100 Interpretation and application experience.Experience working with Government customersEffective Communication Skills: Written, Oral, Listening, Technical Writing.Effective interpersonal skills, including Team building and CollaborationStrong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality systems such as International (ISO), aerospace (AS), and FAA regulationsSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: SecretOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
