I. PURPOSE/SUMMARYSupport manufacturing in meeting customer quality requirements.II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCreate Quality Inspection Standards and inspection instructions using control plans and drawings.Supervise personnel in daily activities pertaining to product sorting or manufacturing defectsTS 16949 compliancePart inspection.Product and process auditing.Product sampling, data recording & capability analysis.Visit vendors and customers in support of quality issue resolution.Assist with equipment run offs.Assist Quality Engineers with PPAP documentation creation, revision and all other Quality Engineering activities as assigned. Assist quality engineers in the implementation of engineering changes, process changes and new product launch.Conduct or participate in stand down meetings with production and or quality personnelOther duties may be assigned.III. This would generally include sounds greater than those made by a single typewriter or office machine.Danger to fingers or limbs due to feeding or operating power driven equipment, either portable or stationary such as a power shearer, press break, punch press, automatic press, or precision grinder.Danger due to possible burns from hot material, fire, or chemical agents.Exposure to moving equipment and objects in the immediate work area such as automobiles, cranes, heavily laden carts, and forklifts.Exposure to tools or material with sharp edges which may involve the risk of injury.Exposure to fumes, odors, or dust.Job duties which require communication and/or cooperation with other workers, customers, or the public. Includes social skills and ability to tolerate frustration when dealing with others.Job duties which require that the employee work independently but near other employees, or in joint simultaneous effort with coworkers requiring only minimal verbal contact.Equipment which the workers regularly wear to protect themselves while working. Includes eye and hearing protection, gloves, aprons, safety shoes, hard hats, brightly colored vest, and the like.Driving is limited (or unnecessary) & occasions of use can be controlled by the worker or the supervisor.Immediate work area does not contain major safety hazards from moving objects which could result in serious injury.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
