Job Description:

Actalent is in search of a Quality Improvement Coordinator to support our HEDIS case review program. This is a fully remote role for any applicant that is living on the Big Island of Hawaii. Position Summary: The Clinical Quality Improvement Coordinator I is responsible for analyzing, developing, implementing, and monitoring clinical quality improvement initiatives aimed at achieving optimal health outcomes. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to support quality assurance programs, conduct audits, investigate care complaints, and ensure compliance with state and healthcare regulations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and healthcare services.
  • Support the implementation of the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) work plan and related projects.
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of committee and subcommittee meetings.
  • Investigate and resolve member quality of care concerns and complaints.
  • Audit medical records to track performance metrics, monitor trends, and identify risk management issues, including sentinel events.
  • Ensure adherence to state and federal quality improvement requirements.
Education/Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years in clinical, quality management, or healthcare-related roles.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a quality function within a healthcare setting.
  • AS, BS or accredited certifications in program(s) related to Nursing
  • Background in healthcare office settings (doctor's office, dentist office, hospitals, labs)
  • Medical billing/coding
  • Health insurance
  • Medical records department knowledge
