PAY RANGE: $135,532.80 TO $165,651.20 annually POSITION TITLE:Quality Improvement DirectorDEPARTMENT:Quality ImprovementREPORTS TO TITLE:Chief Medical OfficerDLSE/FLSA STATUS: ()__X_ Exempt/Salaried position____Nonexempt/Hourly positionSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:YESNOJOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW:The Quality Improvement Director drives a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) aimed and serves as the QI resource for the organization. The Quality Improvement Director manages and coordinates organization-wide efforts to set and prioritize data-driven improvement efforts that align with ongoing strategic goals, while providing leadership for improving clinical and operational functions and ensuring access to high quality primary health care for the communities of Napa, Solano, and Yolo counties. The Quality Improvement Director works closely with the Medical Director of Clinical Quality, CMO, and other Clinical and Operational Leaders to achieve strategic goals of CommuniCare+OLE.CommuniCare+OLE provides an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity and life experience.   • Education:
  • Bachelors required; Masters preferred in a health-related field
  • Experience/Lived Experience:
  • At least 3 years of progressively increasing responsibility in Quality Managment
  • Special Skills/Training:
  • Formal training in QI Methodology (IHI, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (add or delete if necessary)1.Lead all QI efforts to accomplish goals set forth in the strategic plan.2.Work with staff to ensure that all priorities and goals established by the Board's Quality Improvement Committee (QIC) are appropriately addressed3.Collaborate with QI department members and other staff to establish, prioritize and coordinate QI activities (P-D-S-As and pilots) across the organization4.Represent CommuniCare+OLE as the Lead for Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) transformation and sustainability. Contributes to efforts to implement PCMH transformation5.Oversee coordination of the Peer Review process for clinicians in all participating departments and for non-clinicians, as appropriate.6.Represent CommuniCare+OLE in collaboration with community partners to improve care coordination and delivery of quality health care (ex: SQIP-I, Southeast Regional Quality Meeting, Aliados Health QI Peer Network, and ad hoc meetings with community partners, such as UC Davis, NorthBay, QVMC, Adventist, etc.)7.Prepare regular internal and external updates and reports regarding areas of responsibility for review by CEO, CMO, COO, Director of Operations, CFO, Board members and external partners, as appropriate.8.Help lead implementation of new systems and technology designed to enhance employee skills and improve patient care9.Ensure structure and resources of the QI Team are aligned with the needs and priorities of each health center to support site leadership in improvement and promoting continuous quality improvement at all levels of the organization.10.Performs other duties as assigned.
