Position Overview (Summary/Objective):

We are seeking an Inspection Technician III, in our Danbury, CT manufacturing facility, to inspect both microelectronic and mechanical products, purchased samples, materials and parts, control samples, processes, or test data for conformity to specifications and standards. The successful candidate will have a passion for growing and evolving within a high-volume, dynamic environment. This position is for a quality control professional in Danbury. Responsibilities:

In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support to the Quality function, which encompasses Product Integrity and Quality Control including:

  • Perform high precision visual inspections to Quality Assurance Instructions
  • Record inspection results into ERPxx system
  • Use various measuring devices and testing equipment to accept or reject units or systems. Work from specifications using high-powered microscopes, eye-loops and ultraviolet lights
  • Maintain records of defective parts and types
  • Maintain records of inspection results
  • Make pass/fail decisions on inspected goods
  • Possible travel to suppliers to perform source inspections
  • Inspect purchased and manufactured parts and materials for conformity to J-STD and NASA-STD, specifications, and processing requirements
  • Inspection of microelectronics

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years' experience in a quality inspection role
  • Knowledge and experience with GD&T
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to read and interpret military and industry specifications
  • Must be able to interface with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Program Quality Engineering to help solve material issues
  • Experience with manufactured products incorporating mechanical and electrical commodities
  • Solid interpersonal skills - ability to communicate and influence at all levels within an organization
  • Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office Software
  • Understanding of J-STD-001, NASA-STD, ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100
  • Self-disciplined, while maintaining the highest standard of compliance and quality
  • Proven track record of utilizing ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and escalate issues as required.
  • Strong prioritization and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining a high degree of flexibility.
  • J-STD-001 and NASA STD certified preferred

Pay Range: 60-76K

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate, listen to, and interpret instructions, operate tools and/or machinery with hands and arms and remain stationary for extended periods of the time.
