Job Title: Quality Inspector-1st and 2nd shiftJob DescriptionIn this role, the individual will be responsible for receiving inspections, performing first article inspections, the person inspections, and making minor modifications.
Responsibilities- Perform receiving inspections and first article inspections.
- Conduct the person inspections and perform minor modifications.
- Program and operate CMM using PCDMIS software.
- Utilize GD&T for hard gauging and quality inspections.
- Inspect sheet metal products using micrometers and calipers.
- Read and interpret blueprints for quality inspection purposes.
Essential Skills- Minimum of 1 year of inspecting experience of sheet metal products using micrometers and calipers.
- Minimum of 1 year of GD&T experience with the ability to understand hard gauging.
- Minimum of 1 year of quality inspecting experience.
- Experience with CMM programming and operation using PCDMIS.
- Proficiency in quality inspection and GD&T.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with arc gauging and various inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Work EnvironmentThe hours are Monday through Friday from 3pm to 11pm for 2nd shift and Monday through Thursday from 9pm to 7:30am for 3rd shift, with most working 12 hours from 7pm to 7am. The work environment involves working near moving mechanical parts with a noise level that is usually moderate to loud. The job requires sitting for long periods, walking, standing, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. The quality department consists of approximately 15 individuals, and the new hire will work closely with a Quality Engineer who has over 5 years of experience. Hours are flexible and can be adjusted as needed.
