The Quality Inspector reports directly to the Quality Supervisor and seeks direction from the 2nd Shift Production Manager while performing inspection and testing duties to ensure that manufactured products fulfill all customer and internal specifications and quality requirements. This position is critical to achieving customer satisfaction as they may provide the final quality measure for our product prior to being received by our customers.RESPONSIBILITIES:Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with establishedprocesses, procedures, and customer specificationsConduct inspections and audits of incoming, in-process, and finished productsInitiate Non-Conformance Reports and completion of NCR process utilizingdatabases and other quality tools, as requiredRead and interpret specifications and part printsPerform product identification and traceability activities as requiredInput and perform trending analysis of key Quality process metricsDocument, report, and present inspection audit findings and results and monitorcorrective actions to inspection and audit findingsPerform accurate mechanical, physical, and visual inspection of raw materials,components and sub-assemblies per Inspection Plans and SpecificationRequirementsCollaborate with 2nd Shift Production Manager and Supervisor to achievemanufacturing objectivesEnsure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipmentPerform material kit audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of the kitting processCommunicate with Engineering to ensure drawings and schematics are incompliance with final product specificationsTrain manufacturing Associates in quality assurance techniques as neededPerform Internal ISO Audits of SafeRacks defined processesOther duties as business needs dictate
