Job Title: Quality InspectorJob DescriptionInspect all parts scheduled for First Part Inspection (FPI) utilizing all inspection tools within the quality department, mainly the Portable Coordinate Measuring Machine (PCMM), stationary Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), and manual inspection equipment (height gauge, micrometers, etc.). Maintain organization of CMM machines, programs, and associated software to run efficiently and eliminate crashes, downtime, and inefficient inspection techniques following direction from quality supervisors. Record all dimensions required for First Article Inspection (FAI) into the database as required. Provide exemplary service to all areas of manufacturing in relation to First Part Inspections and other quality activities. Monitor manufacturing routing for Quality-related content (including acceptance and inspector stamps) and adherence to Quality Manual requirements. Ensure proper paperwork is maintained for the selling of jobs to all customers (excluding FAI AS9102 documentation). Work closely with and support all other quality department personnel to maintain efficient parts inspection throughput. Spot check critical dimensions on the shop floor as time permits and as assigned by the shift supervisor. Conform to all requirements of the Quality System and any and all customer-invoked quality requirements.

Essential Skills- Experience with inspection, quality control, and quality assurance.
- Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and other manual inspection tools.
- Knowledge of CMM operation, programming, and metrology.
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with Verisurf/Pdimis software.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Hand tools experience required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Laser tracker experience is a plus.
- Experience in medical, aerospace, and automotive fields preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and non-verbally.
- Proficiency with computer skills and file explorer.
- Ability to inspect parts by understanding and orienting them as per the drawing.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based in an indoor climate-controlled environment. The work environment may have risks of heavy parts falling, cold temperatures, and injury exposure. Steel toe shoes are required. The role may require long periods of standing or sitting, occasional walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, speaking, and listening.$30/HR+
