Our equipment is setting new standards for performance and economics nationwide.SummaryThe Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting products through the paint facility using multiple methods per regulatory, customer, and internal requirements. Candidates for this role should have a working knowledge of all inspection roles/ processes such as visual inspection, hydrostatic and various NDE methods. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for helping to detect the root cause of Quality issues as well as keeping track of Quality documentation through Westerman's document control software. The Quality Inspector must have applicable knowledge of all ASME codes that pertain to pressure vessels. The Quality Inspector will be required to have the ability to train, coordinate, and communicate effectively with all departments and personnel.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRegular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Regular and punctual attendance is required of all employees.Performs internal testing, internal checks, and cosmetic inspections.Perform inspections on material and product throughout production processPerform paint inspectionPerform relevant non-destructive examinations using varying methodsComplete all documentation required for tracking and record keepingComplete data entry and evaluate results of data enteredPerform root cause analysis on non-conformities foundOther duties as assigned.Required Experience2 years- experience as Code Welder, Quality Inspector or equivalent knowledgeASME Section VIII and B31.3 code knowledge requiredCandidate should have at least LVL 1 training in VT/PT/UT/MT and RT Film InterpretationNCAE CIP 1Must be meticulous about capturing and retaining informationMust have basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Record-keeping software, etc)Must be able to work in a team environment and be able to explain issuesMust be analytical and detail orientedMust have working knowledge of mathematical and measurement principlesMust have a positive attitude and a desire to continually improvePreferred ExperienceOSHA safety training and HazMat training preferredRelated Associate or Bachelor degree preferred but not necessaryAn understanding of Lean principles and practices is strongly preferredPhysical Demands/ Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
