In this position you'll work with shop floor personnel and management to ensure aircraft are completed in a safe and compliant manner in order to support Bell customers' needs. You'll be able to grow your technical abilities and gain experience.What You'll Be Doing as an Aircraft Inspector
- Perform preliminary and hidden damage inspections.
- Perform kit installation inspections.
- Assist with final inspections as required.
- Inspect required items using various types of inspection equipment and visual inspection aids.
- Ensure that inspection records, reports, and forms are properly executed.
- Assist with completing repair station documents as needed.
- Administer warranty returns.
- Perform various audits.
- Assist with KPI collection and reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills You Bring to this Role
- Familiarity with applicable regulations in FAR Chapter 145 and inspection methods/techniques used to determine airworthiness.
- Ability to read and interpret installation instructions.
- Ability to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft programs.
- Close attention to detail.
What You Need to be Successful
- 3+ years of hands-on aircraft experience.
- FAA Airframe certificate required. A&P certificate preferred.
- Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
- Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
- Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, climb, and crawl in and out of aircraft as required.
- Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time.
- Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
