WORK SHIFT:Second Shift (United States of America)
JOB DESCRIPTION:This position requires the inspector to perform the visual, dimensional, in-process, and finished good assembly inspections. Additionally, this position requires the inspector to be able to use data records, results, and measurements, to prepare various quality reports and documentations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Inspect and approves in-process products by confirming specifications and/or established standards.
- Conduct visual and measurements tests and communicate required adjustments to production supervisor/manager.
- Able to report and document result of inspections including detailed description and discrepancies.
- Able to perform visual inspections of molded components and dimensional measurements on components and assemblies.
- Able to perform machine level, in-process, sub-assembly, and shipping inspections.
- Able to use the database for documenting inspection results with completed information and summary of re-work/reject/scrap and follow up information when needed.
- Perform audits and prepare reports under the instruction of supervisor/manager and document results.
- Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, and dependable in order to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
- Execute each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform job successfully.
- Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
- Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.
- Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.
- Follow all department quality standards/criteria. Raise concerns and issues to immediate manager.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES- Must have a working knowledge of inspection techniques, tools, and equipment such as gauges, meters, calipers, and micrometers.
- Must have very strong communication skills to work closely with team members, and external members.
- Must be able to work multiple shifts/departments within Cambro with efficiency as applicable to departmental needs and requirements.
- Must be able to demonstrate team building, positive attitude, and professionalism.
- Capability of good math skills.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate
- Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal- English).
- Ability to identify and resolve problems independently.
- Must have very strong communication skills to work closely with team members, and external members.
- Must be proficient utilizing Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access) as required.
- Capability of good math skills.
- At least 1 year in a plastic manufacturing environment as a quality inspector
- At least 1 year in textile related manufacturing environment as a quality inspector
- Ability to inspect Textile related products
- Ability to inspect start-up, in-process, and finished good products per existing standard/criteria
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Plastic manufacturing experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of basic sampling theory, preferred.
