Essential Functions: * Operate AOI (Automatic Optical Inspector) machine to visually inspect for a variety of defects such as no solder or insufficient solder, as well as missing components, incorrect components, and incorrectly placed components.Nature of Duties:* Operating AOI machine* Performing visual inspection of SMT assemblies* Cross trained for in-process and final inspection as needed* Performs visual and dimensional inspections of printed circuit board assemblies to ensure that workmanship complies with the appropriate requirements from engineering drawings, process specifications, industry standards i.e., IPC-610 and J-STD-001, and any customer-specific criteria* Understands rules and requirements for proper handling of electronic components: Electrostatic Static Discharge (ESD) while adhering to all ESD & handling requirements* Communicates the defects not captured by equipment to the responsible personnel for enhancement of program integrity* Performs first article inspections, and in-process inspections of assemblies* Other activities and tasks assigned by the management teamJob Type: Full-timeExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to FridayPay Rate $18hr-$20hr depending on experienceJob RequirementsEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:* Knowledge of production environment preferred* Problem-solving skills* High School Diploma or equivalent* Minimum 1 year of experience in electronics assembly manufacturing or similar industry.* Comprehension of IPC-610 and J-STD-001 standards. Prior certification preferred but will provide* Must understand how electronic components are oriented and be able to distinguish the different part numbers.* Ability to interpret Engineering Documentation and work instructions.* 1 year of experience in a regulated industry such as ISO9001, AS9100 or ISO13485.* Analytical thinking skills* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Excellent attention to detail and good organization* Capable of working independently to a production schedule* Ability to be part of team and communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.* Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.* Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively
