Essential Functions: * Operate AOI (Automatic Optical Inspector) machine to visually inspect for a variety of defects such as no solder or insufficient solder, as well as missing components, incorrect components, and incorrectly placed components. Nature of Duties: * Operating AOI machine * Performing visual inspection of SMT assemblies * Cross trained for in-process and final inspection as needed * Performs visual and dimensional inspections of printed circuit board assemblies to ensure that workmanship complies with the appropriate requirements from engineering drawings, process specifications, industry standards i.e., IPC-610 and J-STD-001, and any customer-specific criteria * Understands rules and requirements for proper handling of electronic components: Electrostatic Static Discharge (ESD) while adhering to all ESD & handling requirements * Communicates the defects not captured by equipment to the responsible personnel for enhancement of program integrity * Performs first article inspections, and in-process inspections of assemblies * Other activities and tasks assigned by the management team Job Type: Full-time Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday Pay Rate $18hr-$20hr depending on experience Job Requirements Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: * Knowledge of production environment preferred * Problem-solving skills * High School Diploma or equivalent * Minimum 1 year of experience in electronics assembly manufacturing or similar industry. * Comprehension of IPC-610 and J-STD-001 standards. Prior certification preferred but will provide * Must understand how electronic components are oriented and be able to distinguish the different part numbers. * Ability to interpret Engineering Documentation and work instructions. * 1 year of experience in a regulated industry such as ISO9001, AS9100 or ISO13485. * Analytical thinking skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Excellent attention to detail and good organization * Capable of working independently to a production schedule * Ability to be part of team and communicate effectively with all levels within the organization. * Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance. * Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively
