BTC Electronic Components, an FDH Aero Company is a value-add distributor of connectors and manufacturer of custom harness and cable assemblies. BTC Electronic delivers products to customers that meet established regulations, standards and specifications primarily for the aerospace and defense industries. This hands-on mechanical inspector position will be responsible for executing general inspection functions, both visual and dimensional, including correctly and properly using mechanical measuring devices and reporting the results required by procedure. Responsibilities:
  • Work independently to accomplish visual & dimensional mechanical inspection processes with minimal supervision.
  • Be able to read and interpret engineering level mechanical drawings
  • Be able to conduct incoming, in-process and final inspection processes confirming compliance to specifications.
  • Thorough understanding of the use and application of cosmetic, workmanship, packaging commercial and military industry standards.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, and correctly inputting data into the quality database.
  • Assists Quality team members/management with failure & nonconforming material data recording and reporting.
  • Participate in team member training.
  • Accomplish inspection related tasks as direct by the Quality Department or BJG management.
  • Be a team member of the quality department and support production, engineering, and other internal departments to further the interests of the company.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in quality control
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Review all incoming material before accepting from a carrier
  • Notify Supervisor of any problem, issues, and/or questions
  • Verify PO and packing slip match incoming material
  • Print all required paperwork for incoming material
  • Enter all required data into the system
  • Label all material as needed
  • Set material in back to stock area for inventory
  • Deliver material to appropriate department: QA, Spooling, Magnet Wire or Shipping if spooling is not required for processing
  • Identify non-conforming material and process it
  • Review Sales Order to ensure the correct materials, colors, and footage are selected
  • Look up CofC, Test Reports, and Test Data in the drive. Print and attach documents with order
  • Inspect material for conformity
  • Process RMA, RTV, and Non-conforming Material Reports
  • Reply to emails from sales personnel and customer with issues and questions
  • Help all departments with questions about material and documentation
  • Ensure that product moves to the next steps in the production process
  • Verify Sales Order before shipping
  • Microsoft Office
Exam Requirements: Employees are required to have an annual eye exam and if corrective lenses are necessary, you will be required to have safety guards added to those lenses or have prescription safety glasses. Proof of exam must be submitted annually.
