Quality InspectorLocation Willowbrook Road Victor, NYNumber of Openings 1Full-Time/Part-Time Full-TimeOpen Date 8/13/2024Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-ExemptShift DaysDescriptionPrimary Function and Scope:This position monitors and determines that fabricated and purchased parts meet approved drawing and specifications by following GPS' documented policies and procedures under the guidance of the quality team and Quality Manger (QM).Essential Functions:Manage and log receipt of incoming inspections.Assist in performing all stages of inspections.Follow and maintain day to day departmental duties put forth by QA manager.Reviews and adheres to the quality assurance standards and existing policies.Completes measurements with hand tool calibrations on company and employee-owned tools.Assists in maintaining company and employee calibration data systems.Observes and follow company mandated safety procedures and policies.Other Duties:Maintain a clean and orderly work area both in the employee's personal space and common areas.Any other task assigned by management within scope of position, federal and state regulations.Pay Range: $20.00 - 25.00/hrPosition RequirementsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GED equivalentVocational/technical school certification in Manufacturing or related field. (Preferred)KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESBasic ability to read and understand English and Metric measurement units.Basic competence in manufacturing environment. (Preferred)Ability to interpret and follow written policies and procedures.Proficient knowledge of computer operations and applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.Proficient competency in high school level mathematical skills.Ability to take direction and work as part of a team.Time management skills and the ability to prioritize workload.Ability to learn new and more complex manufacturing and quality concepts.Effective written and verbal communication.PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
