$1000 Sign On Bonus! On-Board PMO is hiring a Full-time Quality Inspector in Valley View, OH! ($250 after 1 month of employment, $250 after 3 months of employment, and $500 after 6 months of employment) About Us: On-Board PMO, Incorporated is an on-site contract service provider for a local manufacturing entity providing full time positions to our employees. Title: Quality Inspector Type: Permanent Full Time Pay: $22.00 per hour Location: Valley View, OH Benefits: Complete benefits package available after 60 days Schedule: 2nd shifts$1,000 Sign-On Bonus!Job Summary: The Quality Inspector applies general knowledge of quality systems and requirements to assure compliance. Makes recommendations to management based on this information. Reviews data and monitors compliance with customer specifications. Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates and reviews data using statistical methodology and monitors compliance with customer specifications

Starting rate:
  • First Shift $21.50, upon completion of training and obtaining a Certified Operator Stamp within 90 days the employee receives a $1.00 increase. The new hire will have the opportunity to request the Certified Quality Inspector book after obtaining their COP Stamp. The company pays for the book and test (one time). When the employee passes the test and obtains the certification which is good for life and valid anywhere in the US, they will receive an additional $1.00 per hour increase.
  • The Second and Third Shift will start at $22.00 which includes the .50 cent shift differential, upon completion of training within 90 days a $1.00 increase, upon obtaining a Certified Operator Stamp within 90 days the employee receives a $1.00 increase. The new hire will have the opportunity to request the Certified Quality Inspector book after obtaining their COP Stamp. The company pays for the book and test (one time). When the employee passes the test and obtains the certification which is good for life and valid anywhere in the US, they will receive an additional $1.00 per hour increase.
Requirements:
  • Inspector candidates need significant process experience and Quality knowledge and training to make appropriate business-based decisions.
  • Six years plus experience in the aerospace industry is needed (or equivalent).
  • Candidates need a strong inspection background, along with inspection skills and the ability to use gages, micrometers, height gages, optical comparators, and bench set ups on surface plates.
  • Strong knowledge of manual measurements gauges.
  • Micrometers, calipers, indicators, drop indicators, height stands, etc. Optical Comparator experience, ability to read CMM and Micro Vu reports.
  • Candidates must also have experience in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T), blueprint reading, and knowledge of Quality audits associated with the aerospace industry.
  • CMM knowledge on aerospace parts is a plus, with close working tolerance of plus or minus .0002 on parts. Knowledge of SPC is very helpful.
  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Professional experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow written work instructions is a must.
  • This position is located in an industrial environment and all employees are expected to follow safety rules, meet production expectations, and uphold quality standards.
Training Requirements:
  • At DVV/SW, Inspectors are required to acquire in-house training to meet the requirements of the Certified Operator Program (COP), a 5-level training program designed to satisfy corporate and customer standards and norms. Basic COP requirements are as follows: Must obtain within 90 days of employment.

ADVANCED LEVEL - RECEIVING INSPECTORS: Inspectors who have satisfied training requirements and who have demonstrated satisfactory work performance have the option of advancing to the Receiving Inspector role. Additional requirements for this position include:
  • Receiving Inspection, including Cert Review
  • Microsoft Excel (SPC)
  • Basic PC Skills
